Ralf Bartenschlager is awarded the Ernst-Jung Prize for Medicine by the Jung Foundation
Since 1976, the Jung Foundation for Science and Research awards the Ernst-Jung Prize for Medicine, endowed with 300.000 euros. It honors researchers and their projects that have made a significant contribution in the field of human medicine and can be expected to do so in future.
This year's award winner is Hector Fellow Ralf Bartenschlager. He shares the prize with Professor Dr. Ingrid Fleming, Center for Molecular Medicine at Goethe University Frankfurt.
The award ceremony took place during the Jung Symposium on May 13 in Hamburg. During the symposium, the two award winners gave presentations on their research results. In addition, the two researchers Dr. Anastasios Giannou and Professor Alain Fischer reported on their research.
