Martin Wegener receives MOC Award

Japan Society of Applied Physics honors outstand­ing research on the funda­men­tals and appli­ca­tions of micro-optics

Hector Fellow Martin Wegener received the presti­gious MOC Award from the Japan Society of Applied Physics / Microop­tics Research Group for his pioneer­ing contri­bu­tions to the research on 3D additive manufac­tur­ing of metama­te­ri­als. The Award honors outstand­ing research in funda­men­tals and appli­ca­tions of microoptics.

The award ceremony will take place during the 28th Microop­tics Confer­ence on Septem­ber 25, 2023 at the Seagaia Conven­tion Center, Mayazaki, Japan. In addition to Martin Wegner, Akihiko Kasukawa (Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd.) and Marko Loncar (Harvard Univer­sity) will also be honored with the MOC Award. Before the award ceremony, Martin Wegner will give a plenary lecture on the status and prospects of 3D laser micro- and nanoprinting.
