Appli­ca­tion portal opens on January 15, 2025

From January 15, 2025, aspir­ing young researchers will once again have the oppor­tu­nity to apply for a fully funded doctoral position with the Hector Fellow Academy. Appli­cants can either submit their own research idea for or apply for adver­tised PhD positions with one of the Hector Fellows or Hector RCD Awardees.

The young scien­tists who success­fully complete the appli­ca­tion process will receive a position as a research associate for up to four years at the univer­sity of the super­vis­ing Hector Fellow or Hector RCD Awardee with a salary in line with the institute's standards. In addition to further train­ing on manage­ment topics and coach­ing, the doctoral candi­dates themselves become part of the inter­dis­ci­pli­nary network of top researchers.

Hector Fellows are outstand­ing profes­sors who have made signif­i­cant contri­bu­tions in STEM fields, medicine, and psychol­ogy. Through the Hector RCD Award, the HFA annually honors excel­lent early-career researchers between the postdoc and profes­sor­ship stages with the goal of foster­ing outstand­ing scien­tific careers.

The Hector Fellow Academy supports promis­ing young scien­tists by offer­ing fully funded doctoral positions with an own research budget.
