Prof. Dr. Patrick Cramer receives the Hector Science Prize 2020
The Hector Foundation II thus honors Prof. Dr. Cramer’s groundbreaking contributions in the field of structural biology. Among other things, he resolved the three-dimensional structure of RNA polymerase II and discovered mechanisms underlying gene regulation at the origin of genes. More recently, he is working on the development of methods to visualize and functionally analyze the transcription of a natural DNA template called chromatin. Prof. Dr. Cramer is director at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry and honorary professor at the University of Göttingen.
By receiving the Hector Science Prize, Prof. Dr. Cramer furthermore joins the group of the now 25 Hector Fellows in the Hector Fellow Academy.
Congratulations!
