The HFA elected the three new Hector Research Career Development Awardees on January 28. Biophysicist Kerstin Göpfrich, psychologist and neuroscientist Monika Schönauer, and astrophysicist Dylan Nelson. All three were honored with the Hector Research Career Development Award
The Hector RCD Award will be given annually to 3 to 5 scientists starting in 2021. At least half of the awards will go to female scientists. The award includes a one-time €25,000 research grant for flexible use, as well as material support of €9,500 per year, funding for a PhD position, and five years of membership in the Hector Fellow Academy.
With the awarding of the new awardees, eight Hector RCD Awardees are currently members of the Hector Fellow Academy.
The first application period runs from September 1 to October 30, 2022.
