Axel Meyer elected AAAS Fellow

Ameri­can Associ­a­tion for the Advance­ment of Science honors researchers* for outstand­ing work

The AAAS elected Axel Meyer as an AAAS Fellow in the field of Biolog­i­cal Sciences in Novem­ber 2021. The election to Fellow honors members who have distin­guished themselves through their commit­ment to the advance­ment of science and the creation of societal benefit. Awardees have excelled in their respec­tive disci­plines and have transcended or pushed exist­ing bound­aries. They bring a wide variety of perspec­tives, innova­tions, curios­ity, and passion that will help advance science today and in the future on an inter­na­tional level.
The new fellows will be honored at an in-person event in 2022.
AAAS is the world's largest general scien­tific society and publisher of the Science family of journals. The honor­ing of AAAS Fellows is a tradi­tion that dates back to 1874.
