The HFA welcomes the new HRCD Awardees!

The HFA elected the three new Hector Research Career Devel­op­ment Awardees on January 28. Biophysi­cist Kerstin Göpfrich, psychol­o­gist and neuro­sci­en­tist Monika Schönauer, and astro­physi­cist Dylan Nelson. All three were honored with the Hector Research Career Devel­op­ment Award

The Hector RCD Award will be given annually to 3 to 5 scien­tists start­ing in 2021. At least half of the awards will go to female scien­tists. The award includes a one-time €25,000 research grant for flexi­ble use, as well as mater­ial support of €9,500 per year, funding for a PhD position, and five years of member­ship in the Hector Fellow Academy.

With the award­ing of the new awardees, eight Hector RCD Awardees are currently members of the Hector Fellow Academy.

The first appli­ca­tion period runs from Septem­ber 1 to October 30, 2022.
