HOTEL

We have reserved rooms at the Hotel Platzl (Sparkassenstr. 10, 80331 Munich) for all members. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee a cancellation free of charge after March 15, 2026.

Please be sure to indicate at check-in that you are a guest of the Hector Fellow Academy. The costs for accommodation and breakfast are covered. The hotel guarantees check-in from 3:00 pm and asks to check out by 12:00 pm.

For all young researchers we have booked double rooms, please indicate your preferred roommate (or several) in the registration poll.

TRANSFERS IN MUNICH

The transfer on the first evening to Café Reitschule and the transfer to St. Vinzenz Haus for the internal meetings on the second day have been arranged; we have booked a bus for the outward and return journeys. All other locations are in walking distance from Hotel Platzl.

TRAVEL COSTS

Please plan your journey as cost-efficient as possible. Due to environmental reasons, as a rule we do not reimburse (national) flights. Please find further details in the bottom of the reimbursement form.

Please also remember to hand in a ‘Dienstreiseantrag’ at your institute.

DRESSCODE

Some of you may be wondering what to wear during the event. We recommend wearing Business Casual during internal meetings. On the first evening, there will be the Hector Research Career Development Award Ceremony which is the most formal part of the symposium. Also, for the second evening, we recommend more formal clothing.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

Please let us know about any dietary restrictions in the registration so that we can take them into account.

PHOTOGRAPHS

On Thursday, a photographer will take individual photos of young researchers and Hector RCD Awardees. Priority will be given to the newly accepted members of the HFA. If you have any questions, please contact Daniela Maier.

RESEARCH ON SITE

If you would like to learn more about the local research of Hector Fellow Christoph Klein in advance, we will soon provide a link to his video portrait.
