Agnieszka Nowak-Król is a Junior Professor and an Emmy Noether group leader at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and Institute for Sustainable Chemistry & Catalysis with Boron of the University of Würzburg. Her research lies at the interface of organic, inorganic and materials chemistry. Agnieszka Nowak-Króls activities focus on functional chiral π‑conjugated organoboron compounds, unprecedented elongated helicenes, boron-doped polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and photoswitches. Her field of expertise also includes synthesis of various functional dyes and their applications in nonlinear optics, organic electronics, photovoltaics and supramolecular photosystems.
She is a recipient of the Humboldt Research Scholarship, the Wojciech Swietoslawski Award, the Zonta Award, and a number of other scholarships and awards. She is a member of the Societas Humboldtiana Polonorum, Soltech and the Polish Chemical Society.
