American Association for the Advancement of Science honors researchers* for outstanding work
The AAAS elected Axel Meyer as an AAAS Fellow in the field of Biological Sciences in November 2021. The election to Fellow honors members who have distinguished themselves through their commitment to the advancement of science and the creation of societal benefit. Awardees have excelled in their respective disciplines and have transcended or pushed existing boundaries. They bring a wide variety of perspectives, innovations, curiosity, and passion that will help advance science today and in the future on an international level.
The new fellows will be honored at an in-person event in 2022.
AAAS is the world's largest general scientific society and publisher of the Science family of journals. The honoring of AAAS Fellows is a tradition that dates back to 1874.
